Hello! I'm Angie Paola a filmmaker based in the Bay area. As a first generation Afro-Colombian immigrant woman, film has become a way to interpret my experiences and emotions. I explore themes of identity within my work that relate to the immigrant experience and ideas of “otherness.” Cinematography and editing are my favorite aspects of filmmaking, colors and lively aesthetics have become ways to commemorate my heritage and personal style. I hope to continue to make work that does not fit into a single genre, but instead fuses aspects from all over to hopefully create something unique.     If you have a project in mind, let's work together!
